    I called and ordered it and then went to local office to pick up install kit and modem. No problem setting it up. My issue now is service in my area went out twice this week (07/07/08). When you call in they just play stupid and try guessing what is wrong. Service has come back on within about 30 to 60 minutes both times. I can't use email anymore because it freezes up my computer. They just guess at what is wrong when you call in. I just use my free yahoo email now... Only reason I got it was no contract and do not need any fast speeds as of now. I think renting modem is dumb.. 07/17/08 - Tech is scheduled to come out in a few days. Service is up and down almost everyday now. It's a area wide thing to me not just me.. Grrrrrrrr Comcast!!!

    Why blame comcast when your email doesnt work? thats not their problem, that either means you have the ports setup wrong or something else is wrong...

    i hate comcast also, but dont blame this type of stuff on them...

    btw, 2x down a week is pretty good compared to my crappy service...

    Yes I am going to blame them... It was working just fine up until two weeks ago and then all of a sudden after sending an email it freezes Internet Explorer. I have not changed or done anything different. I also use other web based emails and have no problems. Plus now it goes down every other day. I never had that problem with VZC. I have been in the Telco Industry for 14 years and if we as consumers except this type of service then it will just get worse. By the way it's their email I'm talking about. Yes it's their problem and fault..

    Ok, sending an email freezes internet explorer? Thats your fault, not comcast's...

    Not if there is some funny coding or links in page from other sources that has funny coding at Comcast's mail website... But who knows...they may outsource that too.
