    My Other Reviews·DSL EXTREME
I've had 10M/1M speeds through Comcast (formerly Insight) now for a couple years. Insight started offering 10M/1M speeds in January of 2007, and Comcast kept the speeds the same.

If you want to see my previous experience with Insight, please read the Insight review.

    Comcast Pros:

    * Great speed. 10M/1M with PowerBoost makes for a great online experience.
    * Connection is very stable. I've only had one or so problems with it this year.
    * Great package price with television and Comcast Digital Voice

    Comcast Cons:

    * They had issues with my extra IP address earlier this year. It took them literally two weeks to fix it.
    * Technical support = you don't always get someone who knows what they are doing. Case in point, almost nobody that I talked to knew of the 192.168.100.1 Cable Modem IP address for looking at cable modem stats. They almost always confused this with a private router IP address, which it wasn't.
    * Long hold times to talk to technical support when I had to call.
    * I cannot download the newest RedHat Fedora release via BitTorrent without getting throttled, sometimes pretty severely.
    * They don't like you running personal servers at all, even a low traffic server for managing your home router, SSH, etc.

Comcast is a great option in our area, but if any of the above Pro's disappeared, it would factor in whether or not I would keep them as one of my providers.
