02 November 2008 UPDATE:
Local system upgrade (street and backroom) caused 4 breif outages (1 hour or less) over a one week period back in late July. Service has gone on uninterrupted since then and the HSI internet DOWN/UP speeds have more than doubled!
Have been using CDV for 4 months now and that service has been flawless so far. CDV audio is crystal clear and loud. Persons on other end of line say it sounds excellent as well. Free Nationwide and Canada long distance has been a windfall for us. I have Inlaws in Canada and my family in Texas. We've saved tons on long distance alone.
Cable TV service is so reliable that I seldom give it a thought. It's always there and it always looks good. Need I say more?
Comcasts weakness seems to be in customer support. I called to ask some questions about CDV after it was installed and was in phone que for 20-25 minutes before CSR answered. I got the answers I needed from a Rep who was very pleasant, but I hate waiting on HOLD! Comcast phone support didn't used to be that way...

28 July 2008 UPDATE:
I've continued to use Comcast for the past 4-1/2 years total. I'm paying for a 6000/1000 HSI connection but actual performance is much faster. Have experienced 2 brief service outages the past week (about 1 hour each) due to local system upgrade
Recently upgraded my Comcast service to include their DV phone product, so had to give up the Motorola 5120 Surfboard (great modem BTW) and was issued an Arris 502G phone/internet modem. Have had no problems with it yet.
I had previously considered Qwest DSL for my ISP, but the Comcast package seems to be a much better value for my money. I also appreciate Comcast's commitment to making their service/installation calls on time, as scheduled.
Comcast has been a good experience for us. We pay our bill, and the internet, TV and telephone keeps working without problems! Haven't really had any bad experiences with Comcast.
