For me, Comcast was a no brainer. The only other service here on base (Naval Weapon Station) is Sprint DSL, and it's absolutely horrid, at best. I ordered the 8mbps package, and was pleasantly surprised when I noticed my speeds were more around 10mbps. With PowerBoost, I have around 1mbps upstream, with it settling out around 800kbps. The originally supplied me with a Motorola SB51000, but when it died, they gave me a Scientific American modem (unsure of model).
