UPDATE 8-8-09
Still going strong, with the speeds staying pretty consistent. Have not really had any outages, except during hurricane ike. I now also have the digital voice service and it is working well.
UPDATE 9-12-07
Road Runner recently changed to Comcast here in Houston and so far the service has been good. The speeds have increased and we now also have powerboost. The price is higher since I do not have or want cable because I prefer satellite.
UPDATE 12/26/04
I have been having frequent outages lately and have noticed major slowdowns sometimes when it is working. I called for a tech to come out on the 23rd and the earliest they could send one out is December 28th. I will update again after the tech is here.
UPDATE 4/25/04
Tech came by today and inspected the lines and discovered that the line running from the pole to the garage was very badly damaged by squirrels chewing through it and was full of water which had lowered the signals way too much and was causing the modem to not get online. He replaced it and now everything seems fine again.

update 4/20/04
Service has been going out now every day for the past couple of weeks for many hours each day. Tech support needs more techs because I have to wait until sunday for a tech to come out, I booked it yesterday and Sunday was the earliest they had. I would switch to SBC dsl but I am too far from the c.o.

Since the site has been bothering me to review for the past couple of months i decided to. I have had rr for about a year now. The connection has been good but sometimes disconnects. I get the speed they told me i would get, 2000/384. I have been reading about the people being caped in the other areas and i am wondering if they are planning that here because if they do i am going to switch to earthlink cable(if they don't cap) dsl or find a wireless provider.
