When there's a problem, I call and make an appointment for a visit, but the problem is usually fixed within hours to a day at the most. I think I must often be the first caller on the issue since when I call in they are not aware of any problem in my area and when I call back I get a recording saying they are working on the problem.
I can't speak about Pre Sales or Install, as that was done by Arlington Telecable many, many years ago. Then ATT bought them out, then Comcast and now TWC/Roadrunner.
They issued a Motorola Surfboard Cabel Modem SB5101 last time I had to swap out. I asked for this model specifically and they complied. It's been a die hard and I plan to keep it until it gives up the magic smoke.
