    My Other Reviews·Verizon Online DSL
After dumping Verizon because they could not raised my speed to 3.0/768, I was hoping to get a better ping time from Time Warner Cable because of their higher speed, but I was WRONG !!!

My ping went from 200-250 (Verizon) ms to 400 - 500 ms (TWC) on most of the servers oversea. US WoW servers ranging from 100-200 with Verizon DSL to 200-300 with TWC. WFT ??? I pay $54 for this sh#@$ ??? when I could just pay $30 with Verizon and get a much better ping time. I experienced much more lagging when playing online games with TWC compare with Verizon DSL

I'll go with Extreme DSL next while waiting for FIOS to come to our area ... #$%^ Time Warner Cable, piece of trash.

Nov 27 2007 update: Oh, I called Extreme DSL and they said I couldnt get DSL without a regular phoneline . So I'm stuck with TWC for now .....

    my lastest speed test

Bandwidth and latency aren't directly related.

Let that be a lesson to you.... higher speeds doesn't mean lower ping, they aren't directly related to each other.

On top of that... a quick visit to the Roadrunner forum will show the Ventura area serviced by TWC has speed issues and has for the last several months.
