After moving to West Seneca I decided to try cable/roadrunner after 8 years of Verizon DSL. I figured I'd get FIOS when it becomes available here.
In any case, Verizon DSL was extraordinary. I couldn't have asked for better service.
It's too early to really judge Road Runner except to note that I do see occasional, brief service dropouts, perhaps a few seconds in duration.
Time will tell more such as the reliability of their news servers, mail service, etc.
I will say it seems to me a bit sleazy to offer more than double the speed to premium subscribers for only $10-15 more. Sound to me like they are financing the speeds then off t he backs of the Basic subscribers.
