    UPDATE 5-2-2008- Service continues to be about the same. One good thing to note is that TW now offers us the ability to get RR Turbo which gives us great speeds. 10 MBits down and 1 MBit up. This is for an additional $10 a month. A decent value since they are still keeping the standard speeds fairly low.

    I continue to have 2 VoIP lines through an independent company and these are not degraded by TW in any fashion which is good. There tactics for advertising there own digital phone service is a bit pushy, but I am hoping they will settle down.

    Reliability has been a bit rocky so far this year, and as I said in my original review, since they took over Adelphia. My independent VoIP provider has better reliability than TW does, it should be the other way around!

    TV wise, they are going to be adding some HD channels to my area in due time, which if they do I will be ecstatic. So far they have a pretty decent selection.

    Tech support is about average over the phone.

    ==============================================================

    This review is an extension from my Adelphia review. Since I last reviewed Adelphia, they were bought out and I was changed over to Time Warner / Road Runner.

    I have experienced several outages that were due to migrating the two networks together and also when they set up digital phone for our area. Speeds have stayed relatively the same, and up until this point, have not been upgraded like much of Time Warners other markets around the country. Being the only game in town however, I feel lucky enough to actually have high speed internet so I won't complain to much.

    Tech support is fine, they have a call center right in Portland so most of the time you get to talk to a local person.

    Upload speed is a bit low, but when the speed increase is put into effect, I expect this to change.

    Television service is great, and they have a growing number of HD channels, which looks like it will grow more in the Fall when several new networks are launched.

    It seems they are also throttling certain apps and such, mainly bit torrent and usenet, however you have to be a heavy hitter for it to effect you, never the less that is a huge strike against them in my book. However, they do not bother my VoIP phone service as of yet, so I can deal with it.

    In the end, they are a decent choice amongst an area with very little to no other choices, except MAYBE Verizon and GWI DSL.

    My Opinion.

    Roadrunner so far is decent, but has along way to go to be compared up to the best of all cable internet companys.

    Re: My Opinion.

    There isnt really many big cable ISP players in this country, so it can't be THAT far to go.
