like night before last, when t/w denied any problems.
and when i was barely able to get a connection i went to this site to run a line quility test.
results as follow's ALL FAILED
SIMPLE PING LOSS CHECK:25% loss
LOW BANDWITH 28% LOSS
MEDIUM BANDWITH 30% LOSS, AND T/W CLAIMS NO PROBLEMS.
now consider, i didn't stay up all night rewireing my house,
i didn't go to walmart and buy a new modem at 2am.
WHO'S PROBLEM IS IT? of course i printed out a copy
of this report and documented this problem, as well as last nights,i think the franchising authority of daviess county
ky will be interested in the complaint once i get
enough documention,should take under a month the
way things are going with t/w.also i will be filing
a complaint with the BBB on 24/sept/07 and will
be refiling every time there is an out that t/w denies.
may i suggest that local and national communicate
with each other better 24/7 so that the left hand knows
what the right hand is doing.lastly i do understand
server's going out with no warning,so why not just have
a recording saying that t/w is aware of the problem,
instead of just dening it,or just not answering the phone.
this is all i have to say on this subject at this time,
i think i have spelled it out vary clearly.however
knowing that you will probably keep this going i will end
by saying

also, u havent posted any levels recently... and what about ur MAC? i could look it up and see if anything is wrong

| Re: waste? Hell yes!! geeez....go easy on this guy. Just because you are a slave for tw doesn't mean they are the be all end all. TW sucks. I have em and have the same problems, except my service is supposed to be 10/1 Extreme. My service slows down to 500 kbps every afternoon and all night. Early daytime is maybe 2000 kbps but never better. I have been refunded anything I've paid TW over 5 months. In fact, they pay me monthly just to stay with them. | |

| TW vs AT&T in Owensboro We've been thinking about switching from AT&T and DirecTV to TW and maybe Vonage. I'm wondering how hard it is to switch and whether I can switch back easily if it turns out not to be an improvement. I'm also wondering what website I should go to, to get the best deal. And whether I have to pay any installation fees or anything, which would make it hard to switch back and forth to try each and compare.
I'm also wondering how reliable the 5MB is for the average Owensboro resident. Is it very common to go a year or more without any outages, or any significant slowdowns of more than a few minutes per day? I've heard that cable internet often gets overloaded by neighbors. I'm wondering how big a problem that might be. | |

phone service,i use quantum voice for ny voip a lot cheeper'
the vonage, and vary depenable, t/w has has improved since
my last write up,the is at minimum at 30.00 install charge
but i think it is worth it over dtv,they also have a 30 day
money back if your not satisfied, so nothing to lose there,
next since my last review i would say that the internet
has a 95% up time, and no you will never go 1 year without an outage.next , no i had more problems with dsl slow downs then with cable, the 5 megs is just as dependable as any other speed they offer, also there is a plus with t/w
at least for now, if you do need service they speek english
unlike att customer service,now the minus when they do go down they don't like to pickup the phone when you call,
there is no advanced notice on taking the internet down
for service.overall as long as t/w keeps trying to make
things better and keeping price's reasonable there would
be no way i'd ever go back to att or dtv.good luck | |

| i hate aol, which owns tw, or rr. but, i'd rather deal with tw/rr over at&t.
if i had the time, i'd give a long list of reasons why AS&S is horrible. but, just the fact youre considering dumping them seems sufficient enough to explain your own hatred for the psycho company.
i'm planning a move, in which i'll dump the phone co. for vonage.
tip: most issues with voip services (vonage included) seem to be due to insufficient speed and reliability. so, make sure you have a minimum of 3mbps. while i cant say tw/rr is reliable; they usually are. i just have no love for them. but, i hate At&t more.
if you have a cell phone, i wouldnt worry about vonage's troubles. even if you have them only a few months, the savings should be substantial enough to make it worth your while. but, vonage seems to be intelligently run. they put plenty of money aside for their legal issues; and, they appear to have just settled with the jackasses. this should mean that from here on out is smooth(er) sailing. although, i wouldnt be too surprised if they feel the need to raise their rates some.
personally, i feel safer with a company such as vonage than a retarded company who cant even decide what name they want to be called. | |

The company became AOL-TW at the merger in 2000, but has gone back to just Time Warner as of a couple of years ago, as the merger failed to help out the company at all. AOL is now just an Internet advertising division of Time Warner with some dialup customers that they're trying to bleed off.
Time Warner Cable is now a public company, owned mostly by Time Warner. Not owned by AOL in any way. | |

| What did you not like about DirecTV and DSL? I'm still deciding whether to try TW cable and cable internet, to replace DirecTV and DSL. You mentioned that the DSL slowdowns were even worse than TW slowdowns. Do you also like TW cable a lot more than DirecTV? What did you not like about DirecTV, or what do you consider the advantages to be, of TW cable over DirecTV?
My main complaint about AT&T DSL is that their CSR's constantly waste my time with minor billing errors, where they charge me the wrong rates, etc., and take weeks to fix them, meanwhile causing me to spend way too many hours communicating with them about the problem, when a competent company would have fixed it in a few minutes, or never caused the problem in the first place.
But, other than billing errors, and slowdowns, is there anything else you don't like about AT&T, where TW is better?
Does TW cable get the same channels as DirecTV, for about the same rates? | |
