After internet going out all the time for no reason and in the middle of the night sometimes for up to 5 hours or more i dropped Tw. The node that services my area is really the problem. After many phone calls there iggy in the issue is the reason for the drop. There lack of excuse is not much better.
For now im on DSL and its not really bad.

I moved and Tw dropped the ball once more. Tech at a appointment 1-5 NEVER showed. After some KIND and i mean KIND words exchanged on the phone with CSR and about a whole hour on the phone. 8:30 at night here come the tech saying he doesnt know what happened, he didnt see it in his truck, i call BS. Paper work came from some where.
Wiring out of the box looks like a birds nest than a box.

Again really no problems to speak of.
Finally 10/512 for turbo in the area. (took long enough)
Bottom line still good service. ( With caps might be coming to TW, im questioning how much longer i will be with them)
Moving in a few weeks hoping i can have the opt of dsl.
Tech support dropped the ball on me about a billing issue saying i was pay off when i wasnt then disconnected me. Reason for the drop in tech support
Update 11/24/07
Really no problems to speak of.
Moved one day and had service back on the next day where i moved to.
Had one outage i wasnt home when it started but was out for about hour plus not much more. Line monitors here on DSLreports picked it up the outage.
I did increase my speed to turbo 8 / 512 down. no speed increase i was told.
Really the only bad thing about Time Warner is really there modems. i went though two of them and went out and bought my own Dlink DCM-202 and never looked back. IMO when i had the 5/384 with the new modem it was faster than the SA modems.. Now with turbo i burst up to 1.1MB down.
Final: Not bad the speed could use a increase for sure.
Update 4/6/07
Very good service no outages really to speak of. Moved took them 3 days to move my service not bad.
My only problem internet price went up but no SPEED increase. They can give you turbo for 10 bucks more a month but its not worth the money for only 512 upload.
***************************** Main Post************************* I have been with RR for 6 years and really have had NO down time. I think in those times i think maybe 6 or once a year but not long and its back up and running away.
I have moved three times in that time and every time was up and running within a few days tops of me moving in.
They might not be the fastest on the block still at 5/384 here but doing good with 4 computers and 3 voip lines.
To some it up in a nut shell. If your in Time Warner area and dont have RR you are missing out.
Ps note never had to use there tech support except once when the modem went bad.
