"Lenient with customers. No throttling. No outright bans on servers. And NO contracts."
"Slightly behind in speed. Still on 5/384 here in NEO. Could use an upgrade at the very least to 512 on the upload."
"Definitely a good bang for your buck here despite the slow speeds. At least in my franchise, I have little to no downtime."

While with Time Warner Cable, it is largely a franchise-by-franchise basis, here in Northeast Ohio and more specifically around the Warren, Ohio area things are very well off. Both myself and two relatives around town have the CATV/HSI/DP triple play package with standard the standard residential RR package. And I happen to have an SD DVR with HBO here. Overall, no one is dissatisfied at all. Little to no downtime at all. The triple play package is DEFINITELY much cheaper than relying on Embarq for phone service which tends to hike the overall combined price of tv/hsi/phone due to all the ugly fees they tack on. All of us call back and forth regularly on our DP lines without a problem. I also load down my HSI connection on a 24/7 basis and DP is never affected (technical advantage over standard VoIP btw. Explained elsewhere on this site.)

Signals always stay well in spec and may well explain the 'no downtime' bit. Although this also relies on the lines in your house being up to snuff. everyone always recommends having a 'proper' splitter on the drop and the cable modem first off of that then all your tv's on the other side through a second splitter if needed. All with good cabling of course. This is pretty much identical in our house and all was installed by the cable installer and all wiring was updated to brand new cabling when we got DP and a new modem for it.

Overall, RR has been great in my area and I wouldn't imagine switching ISP's anytime soon. Highly recommend this specific TWC franchise.
