This is what happened when I canceled my service with Directv. I canceled
my service when I moved to a new location 450 miles away. I was out of
contract. I choose to go with dish network because they offered a better
deal??? So Directv said we had to drive 450 mile back and ship out our
equipment and we had to do it within 21 days. The return boxes would be
there within 5 or so busy days. So we drove all the way back the 450 miles
to ship out the equipment and there were no boxes. So I called and talked
to a lady there at Directv she said no equipment needed to be returned and
that I could write down her information and that would be all I would need
to do. So I left the equipment and drove back the 450 miles. 3 weeks
later I get a email bill, for the equipment not being returned in the 21
days. So I called again asking why they told me I didn't need to return it
and now I do. They were very nice and said they were sorry, but I still
had to return the equipment. They had sent the boxes to my old PO Box and
they got returned. So now I have to find someone from where I did live
to ship the receivers out for them. I would give directv a bad review for
lying to me and not sending the boxes to the right place to being
with, after I drove 450 miles to do what they wanted and then drove back
home, so I drove over 900 miles just to return the receivers. Which means nothing to them.
Its a shame because I likes directv when I had them, now I won't use them
AGAIN.

Connie

RE:"return policy is bad, and they lied to me."

I'm not going to go into all the stuff I went through with getting rid of a bundle service with Qwest and Direct TV but I do feel for you. Trying to work with DTV was like I was having to go through a year and a half of talking to enforcer, "Vinny Houz-Youzz-Like-Dem-Thumbs Goonbah." For sure, Vegas and Waste Management is not the only business the Mafia got into.

Wrong.....

What's Directv got to do with Centurylink? They might have been a reseller but all the fault would be with Directv so you should update your review to what's right
