I have been with DSLExtreme for a while, but haven't bothered to do an actual review. Currently in the third year of service. As an ISP, the service has been excellent - tech support is responsive, the actual services seem to work except the recent NNTP change, and their DNS doesn't have me running to Level3's on a regular basis. Best part is the TOS, mostly get out of the way and not be some kind of Big Brother corporation. My service 3000 down, 768 up and usually get 2600-2700 down with virtually all of my upload. Thanks to some recent repairs to the NID (the one time it's not Verizon's fault, some twit managed to bash the box), the download has hovers around 2900.

Biggest issue with DSLExtreme is not DSLExtreme themselves, it's Verizon. I live very close to the CO, no distance issues and my throughput shows that. No it seems that Verizon does these "testings" every couple of months which murders the sync or murders download, often sending latency into satellite territory. It also seems to last 3 days, rarely less than that and usually no more. It kills gaming and with a relative roomie who is a heavy WoW gamer, I get to hear about it (I pay for DSL, he pays for TV). Not just us or even some just some locals, often these get listed as Los Angeles wide issues on DSLExtreme's network status page and almost always some kind of "testing" issue.
