Nov 2007 - DSLX is still my ISP, 3M/512 service
Ordered 3M/416 month-to-month on a new phone line $55 + FUSF fee, $60 activation. Provisioned from CO about 7700 ft. Modem syncs on day 4, floats to max 4+M/640,fastpath (no interleave). Email from DSLX on day 5 with static IP info. Sync drops to 1984/416 on day 7. Tech support says speed will ramp-up to 3meg over 10 days. Service live on day 9.
Backbone to San Jose is Level3. They also use Abovenet(?).
Recent posting says the plan will be upgraded to 3M/512 automatically. ---- Sync now 3008/416 after opening a ticket, seems the ramp-up got stuck? Will try Level3 (genuity.net and gtei.net) for 2nd and 3rd DNS servers in San Jose since they appear much closer than the 2 primary DSLextreme DNS servers in Los Angeles.
