Just in case anyone didn't see the response to ynick79y below - i just want to REALLY make these points:
You must be one of the lucky ones man...
I ordered the same "great" package on October 20th and here's what i have so far:
- A really pissed boss from me taking way too many days off from work to sit home by myself
- Three months of free service promised to me so far by Flashcom - COOL!!!
- A REALLY nice modem sitting in a REALLY nice brown box on my desk
- an RJ-45 jack installed by the Northpoint rep with an RJ-11 connection on my modem
- and a slammin' 56K connection to read about how great Flashcom is...
Oh, and i'm in Yonkers too - personally, i think Bell Atlantic is the one screwing everything up (can we all say InfoSpeed coming soon) - way to learn from all others mistakes Bell...
Oh, and to the trusty upper management at Bell Atlantic - THANKS for the four days off from work - i really needed to sit around from 8AM to 6PM (i appreciate the specific time frame - it really helped me plan my life) to wait for your trusted, reliable techs to show up - i so value their wisdom and reliability...
...and good thing my long-distance is with Bell - this way i can support them and help them increase their monopoly on the east coast, providing us all with this superior and reliable service...
It's sad when Flashcom and Northpoint become part of your speed-dial - i just love talking to each and every one of the 17 reps at Flashcom so far - and let me not forget the 3 at Northpoint - they're like family...too bad i can't get anyone at Bell - figures...
As a final note, hold times have not been horribly long with anyone (Norhtpoint and Flashcom) - only problem is that when you get through, they tell you to call back later, then when you call back, they tell you to call back later, and then when you call back...(you get the point) - should be 900-FLASHCOM - then they would get even more of our money to collect interest on...
Sorry to bitch here guys, but i probably couldn't even count how many of you feel the same way - can't wait for them to start blaming y2k for the screw-ups...
