Slashdot directs your attention to our neighbors to the north, where Halifax actress and playwright Carol Sinclair was arrested and is facing criminal charges for threatening to hold an ISP repairman hostage until he fixed her Internet connection. That's at least according to the carrier, Aliant, who says Sinclair threatened to hold the technician hostage while pretending to have a gun. Sinclair's version of the story is somewhat different. "I don't want to hold you hostage, but would you mind hanging around until the other technician arrives so that the two of you can sort it out," Sinclar recalls asking. The terrified tech fled to call the cops, and Sinclair now has a hearing scheduled for later this month.
